Checking email (which we think will only take but a moment) can often gobble up a great deal of precious time. I try to only check it in the morning….

I agree with Taps as well but I know what you mean... sometimes is all consuming, constantly having to answer E-mails really takes one out of the "zone' one needs to be in to accomplish writing or research. I try to check it once a day ( yeah right) but end up doing it much more than that. Great post!
