There's a reason for that saying about hindsight being 20/20.....but, being the creatures that we are, would we really change anything if we were given another chance? We have no idea what we would really do, we can dream but we could never know..... Good write!

Your editor says that the years HAVE passed.....and then
remembers regrets because of what you wrote. They are part of youth and life. Learning from them teaches us to never repeat the anguish again by chossing better the second and third time in life.
You remind me, regrets, I have a few..............but I have released them like wreaths of flowers on a swift moving river.........

Until I read you comment back to Sunny I couldn’t decided if this was a poem about losing a man from your life or losing a loved one who has died. When we lose someone there are always the “I wish I had…” thoughts but unfortunately there’s no turning back the hands of time. Sad piece but as FaneXe said, it also one that conveys a sense of healing.

Excellent job conveying how much this person is missed in your life. I felt the sadness, but also the awareness that you have from your loss.

Many of us wish we could turn back the pages that were written and do it a little differently. For many, there could have been no other way cuz we didn't write the script! There will be regrets. That's good because it informs the future!

Sunny Re: Very lovely... and a little sad.
Yes, it is sad when you wait untill it is too late. Today I miss my friend terribly... maybe because it is around this time of the year she got sick
