You trust Obama less than McCain?  McCain, who has shown he can't keep his word and has sunk to new low in campaigning?  Obama has really not shown us anything to make me not trust him, while McCain has yet to do anything to earn my trust in the least.

Re: cantey
That's sounds nice and all, from his website, but it is not at all like the way he was talking about it in those clips. Perhaps it is totally benign, I certainly hope so, but I still do not trust this guy, not at all. Time will show who has the correct instincts.

Outside of the conservative media taking one or two quotes of Obama's where he really does not explain the plan, the only real information I was able to find was off of Obama's site:

Create a Civilian Assistance Corps (CAC): An Obama-Biden administration will set a goal of creating a national CAC of 25,000 personnel. This corps of civilian volunteers with special skill, sets (doctors, lawyers, engineers, city planners, agriculture specialists, police, etc.) would be organized to provide each federal agency with a pool of volunteer experts willing to deploy in times of need at home and abroad.

Although that does not sounds exactly like what the few quotes the media has out there.  So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what he ends up doing and how that "Civilian Security Force" is used.

Considering that unlike McCain, Obama seems to have some plans to do well anything outside of following the path Bush has started us on, that has practically destroyed this country, I am more than willing to take a chance with Obama and see if this plan of his works.  To write him off just because he has an idea that you do not understand or seems off is rather foolish.  It is far better than what we would get if McCain get elected, of that I have no doubt

Tell me if this troubles you:
Obama wants a "Civilian Security Force" that matches the military in strength and funding. If you know more about what he is talking about please, by all means, let me know, because I don't.

Kooka: I hope you are right and President does well. Then all the diatribe would have been for nought. Change does have have willing hosts.
