Have a nice Visit
We shall see what Obama does. The Democrats have played games with our government since Bush was elected to office. The have delayed bills in committees and refused to allow votes on important issues because of the 2000 election fiasco and pay back for Clinton's impeachment hearings. Then they blamed the Republicans and the liberal media spinned with them. The Republicans just let it happen without pointing out which Dems and committees were slowing the government down. Barney Frank a Dem from Mass. was on the committee for Freddy Mac and kept blocking Rep. attempts to regulate Freddy Mac saying it was in sound financial ground. What the media did not report was that he was having an affair with the head of Freddie Mac. The Dems then pushed to give loans to people who were not credit worthy which is totally different then helping someone who is working hard to get ahead and have their own home but just need a little helping hand. Just 2 months before Freddie and Fannie failed , Frank who is now the Chairperson for the finance committee pronounced them financially sound to invest in when he knew they were not. Thus the financial melt down began. Washington has done nothing but play the blame game for 8 years now. Obama has a lot of nice rhetoric but seems to be a chameleon and there is a lot of unkown about him. We had no info on his years at Columbia University and at Harvard and his associations with a racist church for 20 years, a domestic terroist, and others brings a lot of unanswered questions. Still it is a proud moment for our country to have over come the issue of race and his core values appear to be good and he has the best of the highest intentions. His aura is one of higher plane colors so I hope he remembers his reason for being here at this time and place in history to led us to a higher consciousness as a nation. Sorry about the diatribe but a lot of what goes on is not always reported in the media in a fair and balanced way for the rest of the world to see. As an Indepentant, I look at both sides of the issues and do not blindly follow any party line.

I knew we must be related!
My elder daughter and her family live in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and when I was there last summer, we went and dabbled our toes in the Chesapeake!
