I tried to turn on a dime once - didn't happen, the car turned on its roof instead! And I didn't get any change for that either, it
cost me a lot of change...

Whacky,
Great story. When I was little, my big brother told me that if I ate any kind of fruit and swallowed a seed from it, a fruit tree would grow in my stomach. I'm still paranoid about that happening.

Whacky...
My Corvair was an easy car to steer, the engine was in the back! Only my new Camry turns easier and sharper. Maybe it can turn on a dime and give back yen in change, I'll have to check!

The only time I hit a telephone pole was when I was hopping mad at Son #1 when he was 17. I was on ice and slid sideways into the pole. I was so mad at him, I didn't even care that I dented the side of the van, and I just kept going. The incident though, did wake him up and cowed him a little. He was a little more respectful as he shakily got out a little later. LOL

Yes, one with a lot of rusty holes in the bottom. It was a convertible oo, so when I forgot to put the roof up and it rained over night, little car was dry in the morning, water went straight through!!

our Kia Rio has a great, neat little turn radius...
but your story reminds me much of my daughter when she was 5-ish, and very literal-minded: the odometer on our van was about to hit the moment when all the numbers turned at once... and I said something about "watch, it's about to turn over..." And she was expecting the whole van was going to turn over. She was disappointed.

My last car was a Ford Taurus.
It felt like I was driving a tank. I didn't much care for it, so when I bought the car I have now, I returned to the one that I liked the best, a chevy lumina (car not van), it handles like a gem and is great on gas. We alll have that one car and the Lumina is mine.

Whacky & Bo
I've driven one of those, Whacky. Isn't it strange how telephone poles have this urge to commit suicide?

I am afraid my experiences with cars have been quite similar to Mike's, My cars usually just take my money :-( but that car from your grandpa sounds like a real sweet one. What a beautiful memory Whacky. thank you for sharing it.

Good one Whacky. Ha!

I've turned on a dime a couple of times in my life. Didn't
find any change though. Threw some out once. But I had a couple dents myself.
I can
relate to that.

Darling didn't anyone ever tell you that when you run into a pole or a tree
in a car you have to give "the man" money not get it given to you!
love to you and Bo from Kabumom
