Interesting to see you are ignoring all the MANY effigies of Obama all over the country, including the one in California that had a knife through is neck and blood everywhere, an the several which were hung from a noose.  But that ONE Palin effigy is somehow more vile than the MANY Obama ones.  Trust me, the liberals have never shown themselves to be as vile as the conservatives did during this last election as are still doing right now.

It's hatred....pure and simple...that makes people
act this way.  There is no justification for it...it just is.

Huh. I wonder if the effigy of Gov Palin hanging from a noose
in CA counts for anything.  Evidently not.

Re: Re: Re: Mordent
Sorry, not interested.  The criticism of Obama during the campaign didn't have much traction, except for that lack of experience thing, but that isn't reason for hate.  There was also that bit about raising taxes on the rich, but I don't see people making over $200,000 making effigies and threats.  Besides, I heard that more than half of them voted for Obama.  Can't say Obama doesn't listen.  Can't say he doesn't know the constitution.  You can call him elitist, but it doesn't stick.  He's basically a good, decent family man with a brain and an education.  If you can't see that from inside the brain of a Republican, I have no interest in traveling there.

Of course, I am actually a registered Republican myself, but that hasn't yet seemed relevant in the criticism directed at me, so why bring it up?  I mean, I don't hate Obama, so what do I know?

Re: Re: Mordent

Okay lets play a little game here. Put your mind into the skull of a republican and tell me why they would hate him. Remember we had the whole Colin Powell/Rice talk so lets not conclude it's because he's black and black only.

You find the reasons of hate for me.

Re: Mordent
Have to disagree with this one.  We liberals know why we oppose Bush's policies, and I have to say his willingness to compromise our national morals, subvert the constitution, and ignore every voice outside his own administration is more than a little antagonizing.  I don't hate Bush, but I see that he has done a great deal of harm to this country, and some of it may be irreparable, so I'm not surprised he has inspired a good deal of hate.

But what, exactly, has President-elect Obama done to inspire hatred?  He has remained calm throughout the campaign, stuck to his positions, and inspired a generation of young people to get involved in the political process.  Wow.  Horrible.

Mordent, I am done with you
I've never claimed to be the only one with a clue, just much more of one that you will ever hope to have.

You have never once beaten me or proven me wrong.  I kept trying to use facts, logic, reason and truth with you, and all you have been able to do is lash back ignorantly with nothing more than... well what you have shown here.  All you have been able to do is show that in your mind the world is one way and one way only, which is the way you WISH to view it. Anyone who shows you otherwise (As in providing actual undeniable proof that you're wrong), you say is wrong but are unable to provide actual proof to back up your claims.

If Obama is off to a more hate filled start, then that PROVES the point of this post (Which would say you were WRONG in your first comment), no matter what the background behind that may be.  Yet you tried to claim otherwise.  Bush was NEVER treated as bad during his whole presidency as Obama is being treated right now (Before he ahs even taken office) by his opposing crowd.  That is more or less fact at this point.  Unless you really want to say that such death threats and the attitude that his possible assassination being taken as a joke is somehow acceptable behavior?  Or that such things are better way to treat a person that to criticize the ACTUAL actions that you disagree with it?  Because I disagree with what Bush actually did as President and that is what I have criticized him for, nothing more.  All of the liberals I knew have done the same.  And none of us has make light of Bush possibly getting assassinated.

Bush and McCain both showed they do not have the integrity that Obama has and really have shown themselves to be much more unsavory than Obama.  I have never claimed Obama to be perfect, and really that is not the point of this post.

So far the conservatives which you defend like mad have shown themselves to be more hate filled, more likely to give into anger, more likely to do all these thing you wish to claim are liberal characteristics.

While I may insult, at least I put in facts and logic to back up my claims.  All you do is insult blindly with NOTHING at all of value to back up ANYTHING you say.

I am done with you and will go back to ignoring you, no matter how clueless you show yourself to be.  At this point it only makes sense to allow you to drown in your own self obsessed world view, if you are unwilling to learn and grow beyond this ignorance.

Re: mordent, you are clueless

Yeah genius you're the only one with a clue. You stopped repyling because you got beat down and all you can produce is insults. You're are an extemely dissastifed human being and it doesn't matter whose President your life will not change one bit. Libs are miserable inside and out and fasle optimisim is their morphine, even though I do hope the best for Obama just the same.

Anyone can dig up newreels that show the other guys hate. Maybe Obama is more off to a suspicious or hateful start but you should be smart enough to expect that given his background with unsavory characters. And don't give me any crap about other presidents unsavory characters as Obamas are of a very specific nature.

mordent, you are clueless
I stopped replying to you because I got tired of just how clueless you were, but in this case, what you said was so way beyond clueless that to not reply would be like letting a person drown. So actually pay attention to what I am saying and try to actually gain some real knowledge here.

Did you even read the article I linked to?

Everyone I know of who dislikes Bush know very much way they dislike the guy. He ahs been a piss poor president and has screwed us over big time on so many levels. With Obama it is mostly pure blind, ignorant hatred of him just because he is a liberal (And there is a racial factor as well that is in play with this). Nothing more.  Read the article and see just how the conservatives are very much showing they are hating Obama at a disgusting level, way beyond the dislike of Bush that the liberals have.

If you really think the way Obama is already being treated before he has taken office, is not worse than the way Bush got treated AFTER he showed us all how bad a President he was, then you really are more narrow minded and confused than I ever thought possible.

Each has their own psychology of hate. Libs suffer from Bush derangement syndrome in that's all they talk about and there's people who obsessively post pictures of Bush. Many are not even quite sure as to why they hate Bush.

Repubs are suspicious of Obama but it remains to be seen if their version of hate will build as much as libs did for Bush. I will admit they're off to a great start.

FDR was right. We do need to fear "fear itself." Because the
irrational unreasoning fear that's gripped certain folks of the Caucasian persuasion could easily get out of hand in violent, treasonous ways. I keep falling back into old song lyrics "give peace a chance," for one -- and "times, they are a'changing."  But are they, really?

I Remember
A faked Time Magazine cover that showed Bush's picture, and over it the title "We Are Fucked!"  It was supposedly left on a desk in the Whitehouse.  The real irony is, it was right.
