It's this torch ...
... this light (as you write about in your poem) that ... burns beyond the tired and exhausted everyday consciousness. It's there, yes ... and it'll be there until the everyday consciousness "let go" the convulsive fight for being more than one is - until desiring life in a new way/attitude/approach/frame/manner etc. is ready ...
- the burning desire of life doesn't come to surface before the past is sorted out and the urge for satisfaction, in one or another way or for one or another reason, gives life a reason for living ... our passion for satisfaction is the source of life in many facets -
