Re: I also love deer.
BC-A,
One of my greatest Springtime pleasures, is watching young, innocent fawns caper about, under Mother Deer's watchfull gaze. I delight in seeing a Bald Eagle, Bear, Otter, Elk, Red Fox, or even a lowly Rabbit or Woodchuck. All these creatures teach me much about the world in which we all live, and many of Nature's wonders. Every organism on the planet, plays an important part in the "grand scheme" of things. We just can't look at our own situation, any more than bacteria can from their perspective, in a petry dish. I actually do believe that humans ought to control, as much as is possible, the numbers of wildlife that become too sucessful, for their environment to support. The species, as a whole benefits, as well as us, if one keeps the "Big Picture" in mind. Nature deals out cruel and senseless death, since before the beginning of recorded or aural tradition tales, passed down for many generations. The honing of predator and prey, against the skills of their protagonists, is the only constant, in Nature.

In any event I love deer. When my landlady's former tenant fed them in the Poconos a family just gathered near me by his rolls. Personally I think we have enough food and gardeners can take preventive measures against their foraging. I find them so cute and gentle like shy innocent babies. However friend I understand your pastime. I wish you to get well and feel better. Finally, enjoy yourself *
