One candle leads to another...
I always enjoy reading your thoughts and perspective on your Jewish experience. You light candles for me.

Great post, gapcohen. I love a candle burning. It lights my spirits to see it burning.

There is always at least one candle burning in our home
our way of welcome to all; there should always be a light shining in the dark; superb write; many blessings and thanks

First, light the darkness, and then fix what’s wrong. That’s the Jewish way of fighting fire with fire. We should follow this lead for it is the best way! Wonderful essay Mal! sammy

Much needed perspective in increasingly desperate times.

I need not tell you that I am very much concerned with the fate of Jews in general and that of Israel in particular. And there is no doubt that the Rebbe was a man who gave light to the world. But we must not forget the many others, whose spirits resonate to a different rhythm, the fighters, the many nameless ones of the Warsaw Ghetto, and later the Ben Gurions, the Moshe Dayans, the Ariel Sharons, and still the Benjamin Netanyahus...
