"Smothering us in a wintry shroud" and "happiness frozen" love these lines and your whole poem is filled beautifully with the changing moods of life.

Beautiful and uplifting
I love Christmas and actually all of the seasons but I have to admit I'm looking forward to the light and warmth that only spring can truly bring
