Re: Understanding ourselves is one of the most difficult things to do Lion
I agree with you - forgiving ourselves afterwards is often even harder, but if it was easy we would value the lessons less

Re: soul_Builder101
Thank you - from you that means a great deal, and while we start from different places I think our journeys have similar obstacles and challenges

Re: BC-A
Thank you - I have some very good influences and have grown to make my own the goal of loving everybody for who and what they are - starting with me

Re: sam444
I am not sure I would have the courage to tell somebody else either.  Thank you for your comments and your unflinching support

Re: Luz_Briar
frustrating sometimes isn't it?  Still at least it gives me something to think about

Re: Merkie
It doesn't help that we change from minute to minute as part of the process of growing

On the whole my poetry is startlingly honest, due to the intended initial audience and my complete inability to be anything other than genuine in rhyme

Re: Calia14
Thank you - it seems my opinion may be at odds with everyone else on this one, and in the end it is the audience who know what works

Understanding ourselves is one of the most difficult things to do Lion
and funnily enough the subject of my post today! A great example of soul searching my friend; many blessings and thanks

If you are the one contemplating this....You're surely not dark side!

You’ve created an awesome philosophy of self reflection.

One thing I do know is that you are one fine poet! I love this line for I ponder it myself: Would you tell me if you knew? This one stopped me in my tracks. For I wonder if I would in any circumstance, I mean really answer it! sam Excellent write! sam

All the questions to seek the answers is an  unending path to follow. Good write Lion I was resisting the urge  to say what you show us in your poetry tells us what and who you maybe. or wish to show the world!

I think we are all a combination of all of it, unfair, merciful, good, bad.  I liked this poem, I'm sorry you're not happy with it.

Lion

I used this image with one of my poems recently and it just seemed befitting of this introspective piece you have shared with us today….

This poem is very much an experiment in form
And the content followed form for once.  On the whole I was not content with this, but found the experiment itself good fun.
