They're making a BIG thing out of this in the Middle East, but what most surprises me is how some of our media have joined in the chorus, as if we were suddenly ascribing a meaning to this incident identical to their view of it, with the same kind of symbolic weight...which of course is ludicrous! And I think Bush handled himself very well...

Throwing things at George II
Mal,
If I really thought I could get away with it, there are a few people that I would like to throw things at. What gets thrown, might depend on who the target is, but wouldn't it feel SO GOOD to do it, if only you didn't have the good sense to just let the feeling go!
As for Bernie, I will never understand people who can intentionally inflict such pain, in so many trusting and therefore vulnerable fellow human beings. Big, Small, it doesn't matter to a swindler. The swindler, instead of seeing people, sees only dollars, and what these dollars can mean for THEM! Many, many of these victims considered him to be their friend, an a brilliant investment overseer. This pseudo-human is obviously a sociopath. There should be a category of sub-humans for individuals like Bernie. (And my ex-wife!)
You expressed a lot of my own opinions, in this posting. This means that you ALSO are intelligent, have loads of insight, are fair-minded, have good sense, a sharp mind, (You ought to look into writing for a living, You could travel places, We'll have to talk, later.)......................Are you my long lost sister? Carrie?

This is a fun post. I agree about the shoe: it could have been much worse!! Remember in the 60s or so, when Nikita Cruschchov banged his shoe in the UN? About the fraud: it is hard to believe that a thing like that could have happened. Thanks so much for stopping by and your comment.

I was saddened by the insult to the office, not actually the man.
