Thank you and bless you!!! That is exactly what I was aiming for partly out of fun, and partly to gently point out that the worlds of Carol Singing and Raves have more in common than they might at first believe.  It is funny how much of both events is a celebration of life and spirit (no I am not a raver... I just try to remain open minded and not be put off by the bad apples)

They do, although it has no formal name. I like to attend because they always have superb fireworks when the lights are first lit

thank you - I was trying to deliberately make the end ambiguous, partly for my own amusement and partly to highlight the emotional similarities between so many forms of entertainment or celebration

Lion
The small town I live in has an evening called “light-up”; the switch it thrown at 7:00 PM and Main Street comes to life with lights and glitter.  Your poem captured this annual event for me…  I'm guessing you must live somewhere where they do something similar.
