Whacky,
I really question "digital tv." I mean, it's WORST than it used to be before it went digital. How about all that breaking up during a show? It makes the program look like that old Atari game "Breakout."  It was better when it was whatever-the-hell-it was before.

Looks like I'll be running out to get a digital converter too Whacky. Before you know it there will be newer and better technology to invest in once again.

Whacky...

No roof antennas for us, we are so far out in the sticks, we have to have sunshine piped in!  So we are Direct TV which as you said, is already converted.  I have a small digital set for the RV and it works with the old roof antenna, when you're close to a town that is.

Before I moved from my house I bought a gold antenna. I used it to pick up FM stations. It received signals from a further distance.

Whacky
It is nothing new to us. We live in in a very small town in a valley and can't get t.v. without cable. So all is the same for us. I hope you and the Wonder Dog yave a wonderful Christmas. When are you going to show us a photo? Have you and I missed it?

I was kind of concerned to because my Dad has all oldfashion TVs in his house and refuses to get either cable or Direct TV...  so I had to do all the running around for him finding the different adaptors that fit the dinosaur TVs he owns.  Its done now and Whacky he also complains that the DTV signal brakes off often... I thought it was just him being "old" but Iafter reading you I guess it was just me being "a brat"  and not believing the poor guy...  I will find out what is what on Monday... we will see :-)  and yes... He does have a roof antena :-)  loll Mine was taken away by Hurricane Andrew about 15 year ago :-)  and I never put it back.
