True..more the reason for us newer generations to unite and seriously help stabilize them...lest our children may end up having to go thru the pain they're going thru!

Re: Re: If only it were possible.........
Both India and China are entering periods with potentially great levels of instability.....your eastern regions (the Seven Sisters) are ripe for much higher levels of separatist activities
Britain should be ashamed of the way they structured both the Middle East and the Asian Sub-continent.........a typical example of bureaucratic planning and reasoning......

So well done, but so sad.
I am so fortunate to have sons and grandsons that have never had to deal with violence and hatred. One never knows from day to day what will happen where or when.
I must love them while I can and be grateful for the time
we have had together, hope for more,
and pray for those who suffer.

Re: If only it were possible.........
Yes Corbin, I agree whole-heartedly...but let us not forget that India's survival & prosperity as a democracy depends as much on the efforts of Indians as on those of Americans...in that sense, they r all our brethren...we've just been more fortunate so far!

If only it were possible.........
we must always have highly noble goals.....and strive to move toward them on a steady basis......but this will take a long time........Let's hope India holds together as a country long enough to see it achieved............

I wrote this the day after the attacks...
gowing up as a kid on the streets of Mumbai, I personally experienced their pride & pain...Naut's related series exemplifies what I'm saying here, and prompts me to publish the poem here on blogit...hope the thoughts, feelings, insights inspire others, best, Ash
