It was time for him to go and that should have been the end of it! But the media likes to make it more than it is! sam

That's the media for ya!
They run a piece of news into the ground. I was shocked to say the least when the news broke that Shanahan had been fired, but hey that's old news now. He's history!

I Am A Huge Sports Fan!
I have played sports all of my life. I have been a fan of sports all of my life. Since we are talking about pro football, I must say that this is my favorite and always has been. I have been a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 1966 when I first discovered football at the age of 5. I enjoy basketball, football, baseball, hockey, golf and soccer. At my age now, of course, I no longer participate in most of these sports but am a huge fan; both college and pro.
However, I have always thought it silly at how some people take sports so seriously and to the point of fanaticsm. I have always said that if Jesus Christ's second coming would occur at halftime of the Super Bowl then those in the stadium and watching on TV would not care. I love sports but I keep things in perspective. When I speak of the 'whole picture' in some of my religious and political blogs, this is what I mean, keep things in perspective.
I can not believe this but I have agree with two of Kooka's posts recently. Amazing! Either I am digressing or he is becoming wiser, LOL, just kidding Kooka. Concerning the firing of Mike Shannahan, tough break but that goes with the territory in being a football coach. As far as putting this in perspective, the 'whole picture', think of the many people in this nation who find themselves unemployed at the moment! Get the picture? I think Kooka would agree. And no the bad economy is not bush's fault becuase if you look at the facts and down through history the economy will rise and fall no matter who is at the wheel. What goes up will come down. I am not surprised at the news coverage in Colorado or anywhere else. It is as if the world must stop due to the firing of Shannahan. Silly. Then again it just goes to prove how silly our media is and always has been.
Great post Kooka! I agree 100%!
