Beautiful poem...
...and I get the growth of love and the letting down of your guard, but, I'm not sure if the last stanza alludes to a change in the relationship...
We became close friends
Now nothing more And do the words...
So I may love him
Tonight ...denote a third person?

Yes, love is opening up all parts of your self and feeling exposed but at the same time knowing that they are doing the same...Wonderfully done!
