Malcolm, that is so sad. But, it is wonderful that good for others is happening from such a terrible event.

That was a very touching post my friend and may God Bless Charlotte. I did check out both sites you posted, that is wonderful how you are contributing to such a sad cause. Of course I couldn't sign the road petition because I'm not a British subject. Good luck with your tribute to Charlotte my friend.

What a nice way to honor someone! I am so sorry for the sadness! It would be so hard to recover! I hope the healing can begin and very soon. sam

What a wonderful support you and your wife are,

It is so hard to lose a child and it is a long path to acceptance and peace but it is always hard. There is always the thoughts of how your child would have grown and what they would be doing but each life has a path and the life of a child brings joy and happiness and that may have been the purpose of such a short life. The thoughts of the joy and love and happiness each child brings needs to be reinforced with the parents to help them through the grieving process. Many Blessings to you and your family and to the family of the little girl. There is no why in a death in someone so young there is only the why in her life and that is the happiness she brought to all who knew her.

And you struggle with feelings of having an unfulfilling life? Sounds like you and Susan are quite active in the community and direct your efforts into helping others. These actions or acts of kindness on a community level are far greater achievements than any novel you could write. Write the novel by all means… but remember these elements of your life when you’re second-guessing your path or your value.

I remember this horrendous story in the local media at the time, and remember wondering how on earth you live with the death of a child, especially if you've been part of the cause. So glad you've been able to support this tragic family.

Your example of selfless love...
radiates through the page of your blog. It is so very kind of Susan and you and others to work fervently to help this family and to try to prevent another tragedy in your area. Blessings!
