I agree with your perspective. But sadly, in my opinion, all these wars will not solve the situation. I do not think either Israel or the Palestinians can fight every few years and expect to live peacefully. There has to be another solution. I am not a diplomat; I do not know the answer. But at no time in history has a guerilla, or guerilla type group, surrendered. They just go underground, regroup, and resurface.
I feel your pain. My colleagues in this office are Jews. I wish there was a viable solution at this hour.

Everyday I watch the news and I check for anything new on the PC always hoping for a de-escalation in the bombings, in the deaths and destruction. The book of Proverbs says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick..." That is certainly true in this case."

To be denied a peaceful existence is beyond my scope of understanding! I cannot fathom, nor do I fully understand, that back to normal is bomb coming at them every day and wondering whether they will survive is beyond explanation! My heart is broken for that young woman and everyone involved! A simple plea to live in peace to enjoy her job and her life. I don't see where there was a cease fire! Man is so cruel! sammy

Israel is the only country in the world that everybody gets their knickers in a wad when they protect themselves. Enough is enough already keep it going until the Thugs see Israel means business. They did not keep the last peace treaty. They never do. They put their people in dangerous places to have them killed so they can whine. I am praying for Israel.

The Israelis are doing things exactly right! One of the biggest crocks I have heard is this business of 'proportionality'. What are they supposed to do, lob inaccurate rockets into Gaza? But I'm sure they've read v. Clausewitz,
On War...Avoid war if at all possible, but when you are forced to fight, hit hard...
