Hmm, sounds as if you are dealing with dysfunctionality most of the time.

I just read yesterday's post too, and can only admire the wonderful work you and Susan are doing. We need to be grateful for what we have, and for people like you. Thanks for stopping by! God bless. Nita.

"... trading on their unhappiness to make me feel..."I don't believe you're doing that, but everything, even the grief of others is meant to teach us something, like thinking of the courage of the suffering people in grief, and your thoughts of caring so deeply about that makes you special my friend.

Malcolm, great work you are doing on all of your links. What a beautiful little girl was Charlotte. I want to cry for her parents.

It is always nice to feel that reassurance from others
that you are valued. Like you I often find work a conflict of too many agendas and personalities and when I feel it is getting to me I use quiet affirmations to re-ground myself.

Malcolm, I used to tell my children the same thing..count your blessings, many others don't have what you have. Sometimes we need to look around, just to ground ourselves, especially whn we are feeling down. And when we do look around, we find people like yourself and Susan who are helping others. It renews our faith that there are lots of good people out there ready to help those who have less fortunate circumstances. Kudos to you both.
