Re: Taps

this she will get. We just have to do a spend down to bring her under the financial line of extreme proverty with her medical expenses and that won't be difficult. BTW when she file for the senior supplemental check last year for 300.00. They made her pay taxes and were going to charge her with interest penalties and she was going to have to pay them. I did a 3-way call with the IRS and they changed it but she still only got 68.00 dollars.

What a mess it is (paper work, paper work) and then after doing it all, sometimes one is still rejected. I suppose that with the current "financial crisis" it will be even more difficult to get what what should get. It wouldn't surprise me to one of these days get a rejection or an IOU instead of my SS check and it isn't all that much to begin with.

Injustice
is everywhere isn't it. I hope you don't have any other obstacles placed in your way now. Good luck with it.

I tell you ... things are so unfair... there should be someone...heck a whole department dedicated to diseminate the information veterans need to survive. I am glad you stumbled upon it sweetie... at least our mom will be getting what she is entitled to get. Take care of you. xoxo
