Re: And why not my dear Lion
Well the road to wonder is narrow and it is easy to stray... I think the important thing is to have the tenacity, belief and valour to find the path again and keep going

Re: Sam444
thank you Sam, looking back on this poem I think it needs a re-write, personally, the rhythm is clumsy and difficult to read sometimes, so your positive comments are most welcome

Re: Sinome
Thanks Sinome, I am convinced that it does exist and I hope to have found a path to it, but only time will tell. If it works I'll recommend the map I am using

Re: Lion
You know I was going to say "happily ever after" was the fairy tale I meant, but if I'm honest I would rather have "genuinely ever after" anyway - I can accept hard times (they are how we grow) but I am not convinced I could handle times of fakeness... Thank you - both for your comment and for making me think.

Re: WOW!
Thanks Gypsy, I must admit I didn't understand until I was given some books to read, but now I realise why all my past relationships are in my past.

Re: just be you ..that is the love which is very true ..here you were only you
I'm working on that... but it is easy to stop being true to you in the hope of better pleasing them... and that always goes wrong

And why not my dear Lion
we all have our fairy tale but some of us need to find the endurance to pursue it; persistance and patience my friend is what I keep telling myself; many blessings and thanks

Eloquent building imagery and then ending with the fairy tale somehow finalized it so that it could be very real! Way to write poet! sam

Beautifully written

Happiness comes when two can come together as one and then separate to BE. A repeatable pattern throughout the years, no great demands, just love. My Daughter and her husband have this fairy tale and it is an amazing bursts of colors that explode when they are together.

Honest words written in the poetry of your soul. We all want the "fairytale" and they say it exists... many claim they live it... I hope you find it , live it and then come and tell me how you manged it :-) Beautiful poem Lion... good luck! :-)

Lion
It’s not a fairy tale – nurturing a relationship so as to allow both people to preserve their individuality. It’s doable but it takes some work. A stunning poem today, Lion.

WOW!
You "get" what most men don't!

Some very good realizations in your poem, like needing to also be happy within yourself before you can offer the wholeness of it to someone else! Very good! Love the ending, as always!
