Excellent write! It sends an image of the described author's note. True love in life's lessons is most essential to become the one we are meant to be.



No is a loving answer from a parent or teacher to protect the child.

I think the poem explores the dynamics of most relationships – be it master/student or even lover to lover – very powerfully. We have something to learn from just about anyone….

Zuraffo, I actually did get from the poem what you were intending... 'the teacher/lesson' stanza was helpful. There definitely is a back-and-forth pull between being the best, as well as being overcome. Thanks for your philosophy!
