I love being in England in the snow. Though it soon turns ugly black in
London the countryside is picture perfect. Different to Canada both are beautiful in their own way. I was living in Yorkshire one year and in late Autumn time they all blamed the "crazy Australian woman" for the early snow falls. I was running around outside the pub in it laughing and being a kid at her first Christmas Party!

Good luck with the floods, pestilence and disease. By the way, Cambridgeshire is the most awesome name for a city that I have ever heard . . .

snow event
We had snow here yesterday and very slippery highways. Fortunately we are more used to these conditions. England being damper by far would be like our west coast and have disastrous conditions that most are unprepared to face. Wise move to stay home!Take care and have a good week!

Glad you're safe at home....have been watching the news on BBC. In India, heavy snowfall in the hills brings life to a standstill there, but we never get snow in the plains, so it's a bit difficult to imagine! God bless. Nita.

No… where I live several inches of snow is a huge deal! And this year we had the storm of all storm; 3 weeks of snow off an on accumulating to about 3 feet. We’re ill-equipped for such storms (with only a snow plough or two) so I was literally stuck in the house for 14 days. My husband was able to get out a couple of time to “get provisions”. So I totally understand how a city can come to a grinding halt if its not accustomed to such weather. Ahh… you wanted to work at home anyway.

We handle the weather so well in England...
another inch and we may have to call in emergency services and airlift lost cows to safety. Much less of the white stuff down my way.. barely half an inch, so I am at work
