Last Christmas, I visited Santokh in Hispanola, N.M. I hold a warm spot in my heart for the "old west," and the weather is often much more comfortable out west, too. Milder winters, lower humidity in the summer, and gracious ladies like yourself. Maybe someday, I will relocate westward like that guy suggested when he said, "Go west young man!" The young man part no longer applies, but the west needs colorful old geezers, too.

Re: Guy...

      Food,

Wow, being mentioned in the same breath with Jean Shepherd and the immortal Pat McManus! To quote Wayne and Garth, "I'm not WORTHY!"

Still, I thank you, and you ain't so bad yourself. You have given me so many hearty laughs that I feel like a rank amateur, as a writer. I guess that I am just another late bloomer, one destined to only gain recognition after I have shuffled off to my assigned cubicle in hell. That is like being that guy that is only now being cleared of his rape conviction POSTHUMOUSLY! Cold comfort! Still, cold anything might come in handy in hell!

Ah, the good old days. I was born in Ann Arbor but raised in the
hot dusty deserts of Tucson and boys thought that they could just knock girls around at will until I came along on our street. Right is might, no?

Guy...
Very well done, I thought for a moment I was reading Jean Shepherd or maybe Patrick McManus!

Too bad that scene with the parent doesn't play out much anymore.
Most of them now know their little sh*theads were in the wrong, but won't admit it or won't do anything about it.
