Re: I often wondered how deeply the Rosetta Stone tapes
Strat,
I LOVED the commercial about a four wheeler (the sponsor) that took two city boys back into the (Georgia?) wilderness. They stop to evaluate a likely looking camping spot, hear a banjo chord and spot a backwoodsman (plaid shirt, bibs and all) who asks them,"How'd you fellers get way back in here?" Shades of Deliverence! Like the Roadrunner, they disappeared in a cloud of dust, leaving their camping equipment behind! Guess they just weren't into doing pig immitations! My kind of humor!

I often wondered how deeply the Rosetta Stone tapes
actually delved into local vernacular. Hell, people from the upstate can barely understand lowcountry accents around here. And forget a city boy wandering nto a deer camp, even before the banjos start playing...
