While there is life after retirement....
some who have known nothing but working all of their lives have a problem relaxing and enjoying life after work. Maybe he will get the idea soon enough to enjoy some of the things you can't during your working season of life.

I was thinking the same thing...so sad. There is so much life in retirement. I try to not "work" in the traditional way, even in my 40's. So, I guess I will never really retire in the traditional sense. But it is just sad to me when one separates work and life.

You are reborn after retirement!
That is one of the saddest things I've read this week on Blogit! His world could be his oyster after retirement, all other things being equal; i.e. sound health. There are so many possibilities: books to be read, stories to be written, languages to be learnt and at least a 1001 other things. If he has a family he can make up for all the time he was too busy to be with them before. He can make time for his friends.
Should you meet him again, send him best wishes from Elinjo, who was reborn the day she retired.
