These Zen masters are so profound that it is not easy to understand their meanings, but they are so full of wisdom once you reflect on the words, that they are enlightening. A master would tell his student "Don't come back unless you have known how to clap with one hand". The student would come back and show by hitting one hand against the wall. The master would say, no not yet, the wall has become the second hand. Go, find out. This is, in Hinduism, finding out the anahata naada, the sound without stroke, or, the stokeless sound..
