In New York there*s only one top 40 station, a few adult contemporaries and rock, a dance, and hip hop and r&b. On AM we do have four major talk stations and two news. Also of course a few Spanish for sweetheart loves. However I like your former talk station because it played a couple pop songs on a show. Only Don Imus plays music here, and mostly country. The trend of limited choice extends not only in talk but in music genre. In example, New York doesn’t have a broadcast jazz, country, or pop standards station. And artists like pianist Jim Brickman and vocalist Michael Buble provide current easy pop music. Stations could broadcast more of them as well besides top 40. Good luck with getting another talk station. If enough listeners write the FCC could assign another station to switch love. I can provide the music links! Bill*s Ca

never fear, LJ..
I can top that...there is a radio station in Philly that plays Pop music, and I could swear they must have to take up a collection among the station employees whenever they get new music. I think they play the same 7 songs over and over again. The only reason nobody notices is the three hours of commercials between songs!
