Whacky
I sure can! In my car, when I had one that needed shifting (now I have a boring automatic), and even on my bike, where I have twenty-one! Which is actually kinda stupid and just a gimmick, really, 'cause I rarely use more than four or five, as do most people..., and a pat for =^''^=

Whacky
But of course Whacky.  I was an ace driving instructor in Scotland.  I used to teach people the 9 steps needed to change each gear - but then there were only 5 + reverse.  I discovered yesterday that my own daughter (who immigrated to America yonks ago), can't drive a stick shift and neither can her family.  Talk about humiliation!

I prefer stick shift! And shifting gears is easy on a bike, everything is about the cadence! The smoother and least resistance is optimum for pedaling! sam

Ok...I am totally a into automatics these days...I had stick shifts while I was with my daughter's father, and now...I find that in the traffic here I would rather have a automatic, less stress for me all the way around.. Hope Bo is doing great!

My first car...
Was a two-speed automatic, the old GM powerglide.  They I had a 4-speed manual Corvair, a 3-speed manual Chevelle, a 5-speed manual Fiat and back to a two-speed Chevy.  All the rest of our cars have been automatics and now that I'm older, I like it that way.  My 21 speed mountain bike has the gears numbered on the hand grips.  I'm just a shifty guy!?

I can do gears but prefer automatic these days. But I can't use the TV
remote with the dish and all the stuff.

I've driven a 5 speed most of my driving life. LOVE it.
Have an automatic now, it is kind of nice to not worry about shifting, but love the standard trick.
