Funny
A child's wit and understanding....
There's a french saying that says "a child loses innocence when he starts clapping", I would say a child loses creativity and imagination when he turns 7!

He is relating it all to what he knows. It sounds to me as though he has very wise parents.
When my son-in-law's mother was terminally ill and living in a hospice he took my then 6 year-old granddaughter to see her as often as possible. When the time came she attended the funeral too. On her grandmother's birthdays he takes her to visit the grave and she brings her flowers and drawings.
There's no getting away from our own mortality, so we might as well give children the chance to get gently acquainted with it from the start.
