I'm learning a whole new church vocabulary from you.  Today I added Deanery and Ladyday to many others I've already collected from your posts.  That's what happens when you've been Southern Baptist all your life and speak a different "language".  LOL

Wow! Action-packed sermon..... full of the things that make TV soaps.....only it is probably real.

Rape of Absalom's sister by his (Absalom's) elder brother which David, their father?? chose to ignore? Well I didn't know and would love to hear more on this, rockingrector. I have, however, read Dryden's Absalom and Achitophel.

MMMMMMM, lamb stew, something we americans do not see alot of in the grocery, lamb. But a neighbor of mine is raising lamb, i have mine ordered.

good luck with the sermon, not much shocks me anymore! lol

I knwo what you mean as it relates to what to wear. At this time of year over here in Maryland I have overdressed and underdressed plenty of times.

British pub lunches are wonderful value, not to mention that pubs are pleasant places now there's a ban on smoking! I'd never heard of Lady day before. Good luck with your attempts to shock the Mothers' Union, sounds fun!
