It would be boring if we were all the same. It's interesting how differences, beliefs, traditions or cultural ways can sometimes cause so much anxiety.

Re: showdown.
A showdown is on it's way. This is difficult for both the parents and Sarah. Thanks for visiting and hope you have a good day.

Re: religion and culture.
Jacob does not mind about her adapting to the new 'culture', as long as it is not connected to the religion. However the stories inherent in every religion are part of a country's 'culture'. That is why agnostics and atheists do not ignore religious holidays and get together with their families to celebrate for example Christmas. Thank you for your interesting comment.

Re: A dilemma of sorts.
Logically speaking yes, he is going to have to explain; but ....  I'm afraid to say he's stuck, in spite of all his efforts. Thank you for your visit.

Yes, it's going to be a bitter/sweet story for Sarah, but that's life I suppose. Thanks for visiting.

Your previous blog was excellent. I read it more than once. I like your view of "U". Poor little Sarah. She's getting mixed messages, isn't she? I'm wondering how this will turn out. You sure have the attention of this reader.

A dilemma of sorts.
Jacob is going to have to explain to his daughter soon. He can't avoid and say "Y is a crooked letter and Z is no better." Sarah has a curious mind. Excellent story!

Jacob's really put himself in a spot there. He wanted to fit in to the point where the religion and old culture would be forgotten. Now that his daughter is embracing he is becoming hesitant.
