As I read the words, I hear the melody to the song
Mom used to sing this, apparently it was in vogue when she was a little girl, which would have been in the early 1900s. Idyllic romance...

I like Ben Johnson's poetry too! This is so thoughtful on two counts my Bro! Shelly 
This one of his inspired my poem of an hourglass:
THE HOUR-GLASS.
