Corbin, as I have said before
When Obama follows Bush's examples I am disappointed in him. We are seeing a very disturbing pattern that was stated by Bush and is regretfully being followed by Obama's administration right now.  I hope and do have faith that Obama will step in and make this right once he is given the chance.  One has to understand that it is not actually Obama who is taking these actions, but his DOJ in his name.  He does have a lot going on right now with cleaning up all the messes Bush made, so there are going to be things done by his people that he does not agree with, and I ho0pe that is the case here.

It does scare me that Obama's people are acting just like Bush's people did.  If Bush had not opened those door, when he eroded our basic freedoms and then pissed all over the Constitution.  But you didn't speak out against this kind of thing when Bush was doing it.  I did and I will still openly speak out against it now.  You already gave up you rights and freedom willingly for a false sense of safety, I never did.  But of course now that it is not a Republican doing it, it becomes wrong.  The true sign of a hypocrite.  Your side gave away our freedoms and are not upset that the next administration finds it easier to take away more than give them back.  That has been historically how freedom is lost.

Give Obama a chance.  If he keeps on acting like Bush, then I will be right there criticizing him and saying I was mistaken with my faith in him.  But I will give him a chance to do what is right and stop following Bush's examples.

One of these days I hope you are able to clear your mind and see all the damage Bush did during his item in office and maybe you will develop some level of integrity and be able to admit how wrong it was to vote the man into office.

What's your take on the O-man's New and Improved Powers......
The Patriot Act???   Here you state.....

"in Bush's eight years in office, as he basically eroded basic freedoms, pissed all over the Constitution,"

Yet the O-Man, has not only embraced the Act, but is making it stronger and applicable to all communication both foreign and domestic.......................
NOW, Obama's Department of Justice  not only supports all aspects of the Act but is also arguing that the government can NEVER BE SUED because of illegal wire taps OF ANY KIND!

In other words.........beyond even the broad "state secrets" privilege invented by the Bush administration and now embraced fully by the Obama administration........the Obama DOJ has now invented a brand new claim of government immunity.....

One that literally asserts that the U.S. Government is free to intercept all of your communications (calls, emails and the like) and.....even if what they're doing is blatantly illegal and they know it's illegal.....you are barred from suing them unless they "willfully disclose" to the public what they have learned.....which they don't have to do.

Corbin, that was dumb when you first started using it
Still dumb now.

I am not and never have been as obsessed with going after Bush, even though he did some real harm to this country during his time in office, as you are with Obama who has yet to be able to show us what his polices are going to do.
