Not mentioning important events to Dr. B. is in and of itself a 'distancing', so you might as well stop going. Even though you obviously feel guilty...why else would you worry about what he thinks?

I'm not sure if you're interested, but I would recommend a book called "The Road Less Travelled" by M. Scott Peck, if you haven't already read it. It was published the year that I was born, and it has helped me immensely. Not that it's the greatest book of all time or anything, but it closely relates to what you spoke of in this post.
