I have so busy with my dumb life I havent read your blogs for most of this week and sorry I didn t know you were on a break. Yes its sad when those feel forced to leave, to me its the strong that will survive

My friend Betty:
Having you in Blogit enriches my day. The story you are writing about Jacob and Rachel, is a real hum-dinger. Every person that has commented on my blogits, has become a kind of friend. As you - Betty - pointed out we are all here to help each other, to critque each others work and to enjoy the world of prose. So let these silly people write their silly, pointless comments and we'll just ignore them. Writing is what we all strive to become good at, so let's keep doing it.

Blogit is starting to become ugly. I always thought this was my place to have "fun". I want to inspire or make people laugh...but there's not much of either lately. I joined a few other sites recently, when I was serious about leaving a few weeks ago, and I have joined another yesterday for poetry. If I would write on the other ones as much as I "play" on blogit, I would'nt have time to even be on. I don't know. we'll see. Things are dark and ugly, lately.

It breaks my heart to think that a lot of people seem to be blind to the fact that potentially we bloggers could make a difference. Most people, including myself, choose to blog because we have a point of view or message that they want to convey to other people. If we want to do it effectively we need the freedom to express our views, but we also we should also be professional about the way we express them.

It does put a dark cloud over blogit, doesn't it.
I hate to see anyone leave, especially over their right to freedom of speech. It is unfair that some can say whatever ridiculous jibberish they want and in heartless and cruel ways, and others get thrown off for only speaking their mind it makes me think about moving on, as well.

I don't blame you! It is unfortunate when those who have a mission cannot be accepting of the differences of others! It is also sad when folks have to run to Blogit administration when their feelings are hurt! I think free speech is essential and those who are offended should probably find another place to write instead of driving off good people! Blogit goes through these phases and will probably continue to do so! There are bloggers who watch for this controversy too, they run their headlines to capture ranking without reading, for me they are worse than those who are the middle of it from the onset! Be well and enjoy your time away! Life is too short to waste on Blogit squabbling! Shelly
