- Go to FIELD DAY IN WEATHERFORD, TEXAS (ABOUT 50 MI. WEST OF DALLAS)
It's a joy to read you today, I can just feel the essence of the day
through the words on my screen. Sometimes I miss those days when the kids were young. Thank you for this sweet nostalgia.

What a totally lovely, totally kicking day you must have had.
You know. ., there are places to go to be entertained that cost a fortune by the time that you're through--the movies, an amusement park, a concert, etc. But, something as simple as participating in YOUR CHILD's field day provided a much more enjoyable experience than any of these expensive pleasures.
Sounds like a wonderful, wonderful day!!

Kudos to you, your daughter and the others who were involved! The greatest gift parents can bestow on their children is their ongoing, lively and supportive interest in their education. It's not only sad for the kids but also a huge problem for all of us that many parents don't do that.
And I hope 'the bod of the West' has a mind to match...
