I always save a hard copy, including photos. I save to cd's but it's my understanding that they must be redone every so often.

Phew...so glad you had a happy ending to this....putting aside the cost.
I've lost writings before, but only by my own hand, then wished I hadn't done it.

That is a good idea. I want to do that with photos too, as when a computer crashes, sometimes you cannot get it back.

I so agree! I just lost some work this morning myself! Save it as much as possible! I like the fact that you were able to recover your work! That would have been such a loss of time and effort! sam
