Congratualations on following your own path.
When I got to college I had nearly two decades of loneliness to work off, being an only child with parents who didn't want me to socialize.

My heart wasn't into it either.

Of course that was along time ago. But I did end up a year later going to a beach in Delaware for a few days. I still have a picture I took at 4am of a beautiful sunrise on that beach.

My two nephews who grew up in the Baltimore area (Cockeysville) must be about your age. They participated in the Ocean City rites.

I went to Ocean City once, on a visit to my brother who lives in Maryland. I remember the board walk and not being allowed to change into swimming things on the beach! Oh, and the heat, of course!

I think you made the decision that was right for you! My nephew graduates this week and he was not into the partying and trips either! I think it is wonderful that you do not drink! sam
