RSM, you views have no substance to them
I am unsure why you felt the need to say that Blogit did not dominate your life, since I never made any comments related to that.  And of course you, a conservative blogger who is on the same side as those who are making it so those with more liberal views do not feel welcome, is going to feel very much free to express himself here.  You can get away with violating Blogit policy left and right because liberal minded people like myself are not the cry babies that so many conservative fundamentals seem to be.

Yes, people are born gay.  But I would have no idea if my boys were gay until they were old enough to figure that out themselves.  Right now they are six and nine, and neither one has any clue about their sexual orientation. How old were you before you knew you liked girls?

Yeah, my opinion is of the same value as yours, except for the fact that you are labeling a book you have never read as being soft core porn, just because it deals with homosexuality and based off the claims of other, all of whom most likely have not read the book either.  At that point you opinion is as weak as it gets because you have NOTHING in the way of facts to back it up.  When you show yourself to lack that level of integrity, I have a hard time showing respect towards you.

And I am sorry that I am still acting like you acted towards me when I was trying to use a civil tone in our exchanges. I guess after all the time of you being a total and complete a-hole towards me as I tried to be polite towards you, I just have a hard time or believing that you actually are not mocking me.  I seriously think you are up to something right now, because this is far from being you normal tone towards me.  While you do not use the word ignorant, you replace it with worthless and other such degrading words normally.

If you are serious about having civil exchanges of our views here I woudl be all for that.  I tried such with your friend Corbin and that did not last too long, although we have not gotten as bad as we were.  If this really is more than just an act on your part, one thing I cna promise is to be as polite to you as you are to me.

Re: RSM , your ignorance burns brightly as always

Oh, I am in the least afraid to express my views here on Blogit as I always have irregardless of what has happened. I could not care less about that because my world does not revolve around this website. I enjoy Blogit but it does not consume my life. So here goes:

You mentioned that "If either of my boys end up being gay, then they are gay." I thought that liberals preached some people were born gay? So you should know by now, correct? Or are you saying it is a choice that people make? Or maybe society is the reason behind this change?

Okay, for the rest of your response:

RSM , your ignorance burns brightly as always

That is what you want to do though.,  You and those who share your views truly hate the idea of free thought.  You want all the world to be the part of the same gruop of sheep that you so joyously follow.  Freedom of thought scares you obviously.

Just you making that statement shows just how closed minded and sheepish you really are.  Do you do any of your own thinking?  I mean to make such a judgment call when I am fairly certain you've not read the book, that is truly not thinking for yourself and just following the other sheep blindly.

All of the above that you have stated is your opinion. Which has the same value as mine. You just don't get it do you? I am not afraid of what I say on Blogit. I have chosen to respond in a civil, logical, factual, reasonable manner which is courteous yet gets my point across without stating that someone is ignorant.

It seems to me that was is needed on this site is a level-headed and respectful debate on freedom of speech/thought.

Burning/banning books is NOT the same as protesting by by destroying symbols.  Books are about ideas and thought. To burn a book is basically an attempt at destroying free thinking.  Very Nazi in every manner.  You can control people if you can control what they read.  That is what you want to do though.,  You and those who share your views truly hate the idea of free thought.  You want all the world to be the part of the same gruop of sheep that you so joyously follow.  Freedom of thought scares you obviously.

Have you read the book yourself?  Just because it deals with homosexuality does not make it porn.  Just you making that statement shows just how closed minded and sheepish you really are.  Do you do any of your own thinking?  I mean to make such a judgment call when I am fairly certain you've not read the book, that is truly not thinking for yourself and just following the other sheep blindly.

I highly doubt any such book could ever cause the amount of damage that has been caused by just the existence of the Bible.  Now that is a truly dangerous book that has destroyed many, many lives. And it is very trashy.  Seriously, the same logic you are trying to use to justify burning this one book, can easily be used to justify burning the Bible, or any book out there.  it is an area that we dare not go if we value freedom in the least.

If my boys decided to read Baby Be-Bop I have no problem at all with the idea.  Since I actually grasp how homosexuality works and that people are born gay, the book itself will make no difference.  If either of my boys end up being gay, then they are gay.  Nothing I can or would desire to do about it.

And now I have to go and pick up a copy of it, read it and post about how great, uplifting and well writing of a book it is, with such perfect moral lesson for our youth to learn.

Also, your implication about this blogs' hits is rather silly.  You can't tell how many hits a blog gets by the comments section.  My blogs have been doing well when I have time to write posts, but it seems that no one feels like commenting.  This would seem to be mostly due to the recent attitude of not engaging others in any for of real exchange.  It seems that more and more bloggers are afraid to write their views because of some of the games that have been played here.   Blogit is falling away from what made it worth doing just because some people have been unable to handle the fact that people do not see things as they do and have to get upset about it.

Please Everyone, Not All At Once

I am shocked your Dad has not responded to this first. Tell him he is getting slow. This post has been on here for a day and recently it looks as though our hits have been anywhere from zero to one so I'll get it started folks!

If people burn flags, deface the Bible and deface a picture of Jesus Christ so what is wrong with burning a trashy book? At least they asked to do it? LOL! They could have just done it. I agree with them. It's soft gay porn for teenagers. Kind of like a training manaul probably, lol.

What did you tell your sons about the book when you gave it to them to read?
