I don't see the point of it either...
but now I am wondering. About Rockin' Rector's comment ==they had that stuff in the fancy hotel in Sydney, one little box of about 4 or 6 tabs, in the bar with the wee bottles of booze, chocolates, pringles, nuts, soft drinks... If you use it, the maids replace it next day, and you find something like an $8 charge on your bill. My point here... well, that's a bit of a mystery, too. I just woke up. Maybe I'm channeliing Jack Flash...
Hiho, Bo! I metaphorically scritch between your ears...!

It defies belief. Here in the UK you can only buy one packet of Paracetamol at a time, presumably because they fear you're going to top yourself with more than one. But you can pay for your one packet, then go round again and buy another packet, no trouble! Sounds a bit like your eye drops!

I have noticed that American supermarkets do weids things with the locking up. CVs for instance locks up printer cartridges whereas everywhere else you can take them of the shelf. Train Bo to grab your drops.

I guess Sam's theory is plausible...I know huffing dust-off (the computer cleaner) was a big problem in my town, so they locked that up. Eye drops seem so harmless, though, it still seems weird to me.

You probably have to be 18 to purchase and this eliminates the hassle! Now the teenagers can't hide their pot smoking, lol! I do know that kids were abusing the cold medicine and is not on the shelves now at the pharmacies in my town! sam sam

maybe to keep them from being tampered with, but then again most things have tamper proof bottles, I guess they forgot to tell the sales clerks why
