RSM, I am not talking about one post here
I am talking about in general the attitude MACs have.  I had already planned on writing this post before I saw yours, so don't get your ego going that this was in reply to your post.  While I will admit that your post had an effect on some of thsi one,  this post itself would have been written even if I had not seen yours from today.

I am a realist and I trust their judgment equally as much before as I do after the fact.  They made an error in judgment, but as you seem to wish to compare adultery to all sins, then all politicians are more or less in the same boat I would say.  If you really were to dig, my guess is that all of them are equally immoral and by your logic here ALL of them, even your golden girl Palin included, are sinners and or poor charter and should all resign.  When they get voted into office they are still human and are very much capable of making mistakes and errors in judgment.

I do not have that big of an issue with adultery because I understand that not all marriages work and that these people in politics often have to presented to be in a healthy marriage when they really are not.  Due to how much politicians have to pretend to be who they really are not, it does not at all surprise me that they too often have extra martial relationships due to it all.  I guess I am just a very forgiving person, kind of like what the Bible and Jesus tells you to be, except I don't believe in the Bible or Jesus and you do..  Why is it that so often it seems that I am the one who follows Christian ideals better?

As for any of these being the 'Devil's work', that is just silly.  It is just people being human and making poor choices.  It is their fault they made the choices and no one else, not even the fictional character you call the Devil, are responsible for it.

Get It Straight
I listed several politicians either conservative or liberal that have committed adultery in my post as I did Governor Sanford. No one owns morality. However, I would say that when a person has heard the word of God yet still turns away from Him is the same sin as adultery. All sins are the same and we all sin. The problem I have with this, as I wrote in my post, is you can not have the government official stay in their job after admitting adultery. A governor and/or president takes an oath to serve the people on inauguration day, if they will break the oath of marriage then why should they keep their job? are you telling me you still trust their judgement after knowing this fact? I don't! In my post I also explained how rich people let power go to their head like in Edward's and Sanford's case to name just two. This power makes them believe they are invincible and they can do anything they want; easy pickings for the devil to play with in these cases.
