I would like to become a vegetarian but not enough to give up meat. I'll have to work on it.

This reminds me that I had asparagus soup for lunch and
it was so good, it makes me want to make somemore for tomorrow
(except that would call for a trip to the store as I'm out of asparagus)

We have been eating too much junk since I came home. Celebrating our love
for each other is our excuse but now it's time to stop. I'll ccheck out your ideas. Love you have fun and feel Kabu hugs going your way.

I thought the article was good! I had hoped for better news on cervical cancer but to no avail! I was surprised on the fish for it contains omega3 and I had thought that to be an antioxidant and thus good to prevent or aid in the prevention of cancer! Shelly

Re: In my neck of the woods, it's breathing that's the dangerous thing...
Thanks Pat; 'spur of the moment' or not it hits the nail on the head. Meat is only one of the carcinogenic factors, air and water pollution, plus food-additives etc they are also causing problems. Overweight too seems to put us at risk for cancer.

BCA, BillJRoost

I believe that vegetables help.

Thanks Betty; Ashish has been on a vegetarian diet since he started ayurvedic treatment, due to the belief that animal protein can trigger cancerous tumors in some people. Hope you're doing well. Nita.

Scary, isn't it? Loved Pat B.'s verse!

In my neck of the woods, it's breathing that's the dangerous thing...

the air is so full of poisonous things
our lungs are full of carbonate rings
and particulates heavy, you can trust
sooner or later your lungs will rust...

which is why our cancer rate is 1.1 in 10,
you know you'll get it, don't know when.

(spur of the moment junk verse, but you get the idea...)  a vegetarian diet of foods grown here will no doubt collect this stuff from the air as well. But it's still a good idea.
