Good for you. It's time we stopped saying sorry for breathing around these
people. I just say under my breath(I bet I earn more in a year than you do) It probably isn't true but it makes me feel better.

That's appalling! By contrast, I've just been onto the Insurance Supermarket .com site for my car insurance, where the AA came up with a brilliant quote (along with a huge list of quotes from other insurers, but the AA was the second best). Within thirty minutes the phone rang and it was the AA to say had I seen their quote? Was I satisfied? etc. etc. I asked them to ring back tomorrow when I'll have all my current papers handy and they said, "No problem!"

Battered but unbowed
Day job especially dreadful today. We had a pretty major meeting about how to ensure our members understand the value for money they are getting from us. My boss's negative body language just gets worse and worse and I had to remind myself why I was there at all. My suggestions weren't exactly dismissed but it felt as though I was talking utter rubbish each time I ventured above the parapet. No matter, I am looking to achive far greater value for money from my life!
Susan had a really busy day yesterday with ballet exams, where Claire was dancing her 'Intermediate.' She's 12 and you're supposed to be approaching 18 when you take that kind of exam so she's still way ahead of herself. We'll know how she did in a couple of weeks.
Ivan went to see 'Athlete' at The Junction in Cambridge on Monday night and is at the cinema this afternoon to celebrate end of the first A' Level year - what a life?
Christian has a back injury again and is off to the GP with Susan this evening but we think it is more to do with a growth spurt than anything more sinister.
Can't wait to get home this eveningl; not travelling for the rest of the week and hope to make some more progress on the book.

I have always said that any people working with the public should ALL
without exception, be sent on a PR course as a matter of norm - I have said this to all public departments here as 'rude' seems to be the norm in this places! Needless to say I am very glad you used another provider - another strike for freedom of choice! Many blessings and thanks

Incredulous, it sounds like they were not listening to your request whatsoever! Rude is so outdated! I am happy to learn you have a new provider! sam

So glad you were able to find another provider. You don't need that kind of treatment.

Malcolm
For many years we had only one phone company (for land lines, that is) and phoning them for help or service was like putting one’s head in a vice. Finally, a couple of years ago a competitor emerged and we now use them. And they actually answer their phone and help with whatever problem you have! Customer service – it’s becoming non existent with the larger companies.
