I hope the trend can be reversed.

Re: Elinjo
Thanks WileyJohn for the comment. Like so many other issues there are arguments for and against.

Elinjo
I'm one of those who simply refuses to accept the guilt that man is responsible for all this climate change. There are studies that show all of this has happened before long ago, but I don't lose any sleep over whatever God may have planned. Good post luv

HMNN all those worried Greeks but they won't want themselves to be the ones
to do something. In Athens suburbs they hook a new shoer or washing machine into the block of flats down pie and dirty water runs down the gutters. No I won't go on.....but I could.

Re: We try and save energy whenever possible
Yes, I know what you mean.

We try and save energy whenever possible
but I can't help thinking it's a global balloon that you push in here but, somewhere else... I know that sounds a bit defeatist - even self-detemining - and we will try our best regardless.

Re: Elinjo
Yes, exactly just turning off a few lights and switching off the t.v. remote control does save electricity. Where I live you really do not need to start the car to go shopping. I know this is not an option for many U.S. residents, but it is for many Europeans. Thanks for dropping by!

Elinjo

“There’s nothing we can do as individuals” is a sad but prevailing way of thinking for many people.  Yet each of us CAN make a difference… I try – be it with recycling or just turning a light or two off.

Re:
That is also true Shelly. I found myself worrying about them in the same way as I used to worry about my daughter when she came home late!

Company is fun, but it is always nice when one has their time back! Have a wonderful evening and fantastic day tomorrow! Shelly

Yes, I agree with you Pat. If we all do what we can there's hope. Thanks for visiting!

It's my perception that, contrary to what your visitors thought
(that individuals can't make a difference) it's up to each individual to do every little thing we can to conserve energy, re-use and recycle, and reduce our impact on our environment. The cumulative effect will make all the difference.

Speaking of climate change, in the middle of July we are usually hot, hot, hot, even at night.  But right now we are setting some kind of record  in this area for low temperature.  I'm digging heavier blankets out of the closet that I put away for the summer.   It's strange, but it feels good for a change.  Also, I've been wearing fuzzy socks all day instead of going barefoot.  My feet were actually cold.
