I have never once said such a private group should not have the right to define its own membership qualifications. While I disagree with groups like the Boy Scouts openly discriminating against homosexuals and atheists, I have never once said it was not their right to do such. I very openly disagree with them and have pointed out that such a policy is very much against the actually teachings of Boy Scouts, yet at no point have I ever said that as a private group it was not their right to do such. Disagreeing with what a group does is not the same thing as saying they do not have the right to do said thing.
I will very much applause those groups who do the right thing, the thing that is best for this country and will promote growth and advancement for our society, such as what AA is doing, and openly criticize groups when they are doing harm to themselves, the ideas of freedom and out potential as a society, such as what Boy Scouts has done. Right now I am very active in Cub Scouts and have openly criticized their requirements to others involved with Scouts, while being part of the group. What I have found is that for the most part the adult members of Scout do not agree with the discrimination. I would not be able to work with this group if it were otherwise.

I am 100% positive that if the AAA would have come out saying that they did not recognize homosexuals as being married that the above statement of your would have taken a completely different tone. You never agreed with any other organization to be able to define their membership requirements as they see fit, but you are all over this sucking it up big time. What a farce! Whatever spin is necessary, right kooka?
