Re. growing old graciously.
Glad to read so many optimistic comments; thank you one and all. Hopefully we'll all be clicking away happily well into out 90's telling each other the latest news about our great-grandchildren, gardens, pets and all the other things that make life worth while living.

I've felt a long time that seniors seemed to be happier. This seems to have been confirmed now.

I know that since I retired, I do not dread Mondays and TGIF means nothing to me. LOL

elinjo, it's true..if we could learn to say T.G.I.M. and all the other days
of the week, not just Friday, we'd soon be a lot happier .

I think a lot of people do grow more contented as they age. But health and love must have something to do with it, surely?

El
I like Mondays as well. There’s something “fresh” about it as if it offers a new start. You know, I read somewhere that Tuesday at 11:00AM is the most depressing time of the week(for most).

I love Mondays. It's a leftover from the old days
when there was so much to do all weekend, what with the kids, the house, the shopping, the laundry, the activities, family events, etc., etc., that Monday at work was like a day off.

Elinjo - Yes, I suppose the older you get, the more happier you become due to life experiences and achievements. Great write and also I wish to thank you for the link on languages. It was very enlightening to me. thank you for your visit.

I think my moments of contentedness
are more blissful as I approach 50, but not sure that the pain of discontent has really diminished. Enjoy your week
