I wouldn't have believed that, Decshack. Something else I'll have to keep my eye open for, and to think I love (make that -
used to love) butterflies.

Monarchs can carry ticks. I've seen it.
One Monarch butterfly kept trying to rub the derned thing off on my head! It would have worked, too, if I had let it! So now I'm afraid of butterflies....Isn't that too funny?

Our daughters and friends were more than a tad amused, Taps. They laughed their heads off, and are clamoring to be first to read it once we have done so.

I'm afraid that I can't help but be amused, just a tad, that someone put you and Ell in their book and that you are not amused about it. I can't really blame the writer of the book in that you and Ell are such colorful characters. But, they really should have gotten your permission first.

Aha! So I was right, for once. Squirrel and I haven't been so close since then, but now that I know it is possible without having my arm ripped off, I'll make an effort to become friendlier with Squirrel.

Hi .. Such a cute story. I guess it's safer to drop the nut's but I feed the squirrels from my hand often with shelled peanuts. Thank you very much for your good wishes for my health, my friend.

I'm glad you liked it sam444. The annoying thing is that she didn't bring the cuffs out in public.

But they would all have been so cliched, Pat. I think about that episode whenever I see Squirr-ell, as he/she sits patiently waiting for his/her nuts in the morning, and replaying what might have been. I think I'm lucky to still have both eyes, never mind nuts.

“You want me to drop my nuts and put my hands down? You're not bringing the cuffs out in daylight, are you?" LMAO, that was too funny! You tell such a great story! sam

There are so many suggestive comments I could make about
dropping your nuts and raising an arm or something, but I resist the temptation. Good for you that Ell was there, because you'd have remembered the potential for SquirRelle mistaking you for a tree only when it was time for bandaids and iodine.
