It definitely feels better to be optimistic.

Re: johnmacnab. half empty or half full.

It applies to both sexes apparently:

‘Women who are optimistic have a lower risk of heart disease and death.’

'This study ’mirrors’ a similar Dutch study of optimistic/pessimistic men.' '

Women who are optimistic have a lower risk of heart disease and death?  What about men, is it the other way around for them?

½ full or ½ empty.
Thanks for your comments. I try to think of my glass as being half-full but at times the half-empty feeling comes over me.

I use to be a optimist but life has changed that, I tend to be a pessimist now.

I am an optimist for I believe that it all works out in the end! The glass is always half full for me, even when there is no stock on hand to refill it! Have a great day! I love the things you find and how you get me thinking! Shelly

As a child I worried about everything. Survival issues were big with me.
I had reason to worry, so I didn't just worry over what might happen or possibility. Eventually I realized that 90 percent of the things I worried about never happened. The bad stuff that did come was always something I never saw coming. That's when I quit worrying. Why ruin the not-so-bad days thinking bad days were coming? My glass is half full.

I think I'm an optimist, but then, life generally treats me well. I also think I'd fill that orange juice up with water, so my glass was full. Bit diluted maybe, byut full none the less.

Elinjo - how intriguing? Well, I try to eat healthy and am I think more of an optimist otherwise the challenges I go through would have probably given me a heart attack by now..lol. Always try not to be hostile but sometimes just shows up that way...don't know elinjo..lol. probably just a confused individual..lol.Great write.

Having some is better then none, and better to love a little then to spend a life time hating. I'm so glad you

share a positive view.
